Dear WONCA Europe Conference participants,
Did you realise that we all just had a fantastic conference in Copenhagen? That is what we hear.  
We hope that you all had enjoyable stays in Denmark and Copenhagen – and hopefully many of you got the opportunity to travel to some of the other Nordic countries as well.  

Are you ready for Copenhagen?
On Monday 13 June the online registration for WONCA Europe 2016 will close down at 12:00 (Danish time), hereafter you can only register on site in Bella Center from 10:00 on Wednesday 15 June.
Conference app: A large number of delegates – from all continents – have already downloaded our conference app – have you? 

Time is approaching for the WONCA Europe 2016 Conference in Copenhagen, and we would therefore like to share some important and useful information with you;
WONCA Europe Conference 2016 APP: WONCA Europe Conference 2016 Copenhagen has gone mobile! This means there will be no paper-abstract-book this year and only a brief summary of the program in print - so please use our conference app.

Professor Michael Kidd (Australia) - President of the World Organization of Family Doctors (WONCA)
We are proud to announce that the 21st WONCA Europe Conference will be officially launched with an inaugural key-note presentation by Professor Michael Kidd. Michael is and will serve as World President from 2013-2016 until the next WONCA World Conference to be held, in Rio de Janeiro, in November 2016.

We are delighted to present the first edition of the ”programme at a glance” for WONCA Europe 2016.
We received a record-large number of session proposals and abstracts. Based on external reviews and a thorough assessment by the energetic Scientific Committee, we are proud of the result.

There is an increasing inequality in health and access to healthcare throughout Europe. What is the role of family medicine in this? Does general practice diminish inequality? Or is the development of general practice leading to a healthcare system for the middle class? What do we mean when we talk about inequality?

Meet Ulrika Sandén - our "patient voice" - in Copenhagen in June
Ulrika Sandén is a social worker pursuing doctoral research of cancer processes at the Ingvar Kamprad Design Centre, Lund University, Sweden. She is also a brain tumor survivor and her book about the trajectory as a surgical and oncological patient was on the literature curriculum of the Karolinska Institute medical school.

Several groups and individuals have expressed their positive interest in contributing
to the themes and the issues addressed by the keynote speakers; high quality
expertise within important aspects of future family medicine.

The Copenhagen Conference will be a high quality conference and it will present
scientific material from all of Europe and abroad - and in particular papers from
the Nordic countries that are known for their general practice. We will focus very
much on our seven keynote speakers and they have been chosen very carefully.
